ಬಿಜಾಪೂರದ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಗೆ ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ತಿಳಿಸುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸರಕಾರವು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಗೆ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ಕೂಡಲೇ  ಒದಗಿಸುವ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ನಾಗರೀಕ ಸೇವಾ ಖಾತರಿ ಮಸೂದೆ-2011 ನ್ನು ದಿನಾಂಕ:02.04.2012 ರಿಂದ ಜಾರಿಗೊಳಿಸಿದೆ. ಈ ಸೇವೆಯು ಬಿಜಾಪೂರ ನಗರಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯು ಲಭ್ಯವಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಪ್ರಯುಕ್ತ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರು ಸೇವೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಗದಿಪಡಿಸಿದ ಅರ್ಜಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅರ್ಜಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿ ನಿಗಧಿತ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಲು ಕೋರಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಗಣಕೀಕರಣ : ಬಿಜಾಪೂರ ನಗರಸಭೆ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯ ಆಸ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿ, ಆಸ್ತಿ ವಿವರಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಗಣಕೀಕರಿಸುವ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಪ್ರಗತಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಶೀಘ್ರದಲ್ಲೇ ನಾಗರೀಕರು ಇದರ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯ ಪಡೆಯಬಹುದಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ 1990 ನೇ ಸಾಲಿನಿಂದ ಈವರೆಗೆ ಜನನ ಮತ್ತು ಮರಣ ದಾಖಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಗಣಕೀಕೃತಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದು, ನಾಗರೀಕರು ಇನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆ ಜನನ-ಮರಣ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಪತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಗಧಿತ ಶುಲ್ಕ ಪಾವತಿಸಿ ಪಡೆಯಬಹುದಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ

Computerisation : Properties within BIJAPUR CMC limits have been identified & details have been collected & Computerisation of records is under progress. Citizens can avail this facility to pay property tax shortly. Birth & Death records are available online from the year 1998. Citizens can make use of this facility to register & obtain Birth & Death Certificates.

ಘನತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯ ವಸ್ತು ಸಂಗ್ರಹಣ

ನಗರಸಭೆಯ 35-ವಾರ್ಡ್ ಗಳ ಘನ ತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯ ವಸ್ತು ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆಯನ್ನು ಗುತ್ತಿಗೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ.  ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಣೆ,ಬೀದಿಗುಡಿಸುವುದು, ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಗಾಣಿಕೆ ಸೇರಿಕೊಂಡಿರುತ್ತದೆ.  ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರು ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಣೆಯ ಶುಲ್ಕವನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪದೆ ಪಾವತಿಸುವುದು.  ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟಂತೆ ಯಾವುದಾದರೂ ದೂರುಗಳಿದ್ದಲ್ಲಿ ನಗರಸಭೆಯ ಸಹಾಯವಾಣಿ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ-251004 ಸಂಪರ್ಕಿಸುವುದು.  ನಗರವನ್ನು ಸ್ವಚ್ಚವಾಗಿಡಲು ಸಹಕರಿಸಿ.  -ಆಯುಕ್ತರು, ನಗರಸಭೆ

ಜನನ ಹಾಗೂ ಮರಣದ ದಾಖಲೆಗಳನ್ನು 1995 ರಿಂದ ಇಲ್ಲಿಯವರೆಗೂ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಗಣಕೀಕರಣಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಜನನ ಹಾಗೂ ಮರಣದ ದಾಖಾಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ವೀಕ್ಷಿಸಬಹುದಾಗಿದ್ದು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರುಇದರ ಉಪಯೋಗ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ತಿಳಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

Bijapur is one of 57 Karnataka cities in the Nirmala Nagara - Municipal eGovernance project. On Aug 15th 2005 each of the 57 cities will get a comprehensive website as well as the Public Grievance & Redressal module. Other important modules to be launched by June 2006 are Property Tax, Financial Accounting  GIS Mapping, Birth & Death Certification, and Ward Works. Nirmala Nagara project is a partnership between the Urban Development Dept, eGovernments Foundation & Survey of India. These computer based systems coupled with Govt. process re-engineering and GIS digital mapping will provide transparency and accountability and smoother delivery of services to citizens of Karnataka. There was lot of scope for agriculture in the district before submergence due to submergence. Bijapur was very famous for its cotton crop. Agriculture is the main occupation. Jawar, cotton, sugar cane, ground  nut, bajra, wheat are the main crops.Textile Industry is widespread in almost all the talukas of the district. 'Ilkal  sarees' of Ilkal, cotton sarees of Rabkavi-Banahtti, 'Khana' (Blouse Piece) of Guledagudda are well known. Government of Karnataka started Handloom Development Corporation (KHDC) in  Banahatti town.                                                                   
 
                  The  “Navanagar” which is four times bigger than  Bijapur, is developed on the model designed by Mr. Charles Corea, the renowned architect and town planner on the basis of Indian Vastushastra.  It is equipped with all modern facilities and civil amenities, which has a capacity to accommodate about 2 lakh people, keeping in mind the development in the next 100 years.
